Building something genuinely different in the Surrey Hills
We help junior and adult players grow, not just as tennis players, but as people who love this sport and everything it gives back to them.
Our programme is built on a coaching philosophy rooted in personal connection, player led growth and a relentless commitment to improvement. We work with players of all abilities, from complete beginners stepping onto a court for the first time to county standard players pushing for selection. What they all share is a goal. Our job is to find it, understand it, and coach every session with it in mind.
BEN MASON, HEAD COACH
Ben Mason brings a wealth of experience and passion to Horsley Sports Club as Head Coach. He spent seven years coaching at the world-renowned All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon, and has
since been recognised with multiple honours, including Surrey Tennis Coach of the Year 2024 and the LTA Excellence Award 2025. An LTA Level 4 Senior Club Coach and currently studying for the prestigious LTA Level 5 Director of Tennis qualification, Ben is
dedicated to player development at all levels. He also works internationally as a Ball Kid Coach, further showcasing his expertise and commitment to the sport.
Ben is available for private lessons - £45 per hour

TENNIS LEADERS
We are always looking for the next generation of coaches, and we believe they are already here, playing on these courts right now.
The LTA Youth Tennis Leaders programme is the first step on a pathway that can take a young player from the court they grew up on all the way to a career in coaching. If you are a junior who loves this sport and wants to start giving something back, we want to hear from you.
The Tennis Leaders course at HSC is run by Ben personally, on our courts, with our players. You do not need to travel anywhere. The journey starts right here.
